It’s an exciting time for Island New Democrats. Over the last two years, our party has been building for what will be an historic upcoming provincial election.

The New Democratic Party has been steadfastly preparing. After 2019, with your help, we were the first Island party to take care of election debt. Accomplishing this at such an early stage allowed us to plan for the future.

In 2021, we focussed on our next goal of searching the Island for the party’s next dynamic representative for the NDP PEI. After much searching, in April of 2022, Michelle Neill was elected as the next Island New Democratic leader.

This event brought long-time and new NDP supporters out to Holland College at the April 23rd Leadership Convention to meet Michelle, and our federal leader, Jagmeet Singh, where we fundraised to launch our new Leader’s journey on secure footing.

Islanders’ concerns have been accentuated after enduring hardship over the past two years. Michelle will meet and hear Islanders to take what she learns to the PEI legislature in the upcoming election. To do this, we ask for your generous support for the Leadership Fund so Michelle may speak to your hopes and concerns for an even better Prince Edward Island.

Your support will help Michelle make those journeys up-west, out to Souris, down to Montague, and all points in between.

So let’s do this, for Michelle, for the Island New Democratic Party, for all Islanders. We Are NDP.

Thank you very much.

Lori MacKay, President
Island New Democrats
