Michelle Neill Announces Douglas Dahn, former UPEI Faculty Chief Negotiator to Run Against Peter Bevan-Baker

Island New Democrat Party Leader, Michelle Neill, announced today that long time UPEI Faculty member from Clyde River Douglas Dahn will be running in District 17- New Haven-Rocky Point.
“Douglas Dahn has given back to his community his whole life and here he is doing it again,” says Neill. “Whether as a faculty member at UPEI, as community activist or Municipal Councillor Douglas Dahn knows how to fight for everyday people and their concerns, I’m excited to have him on our team.”
Douglas Dahn taught in the Physics department since 1990 and has recently retired. He was elected on the Clyde River Municipal Council from 2008-2012. He is involved with the Canadian Association of Physicists, Science Atlantic, as well as the Association of Retired UPEI Employees. Prior to retirement he was very involved his faculty union.
“There are problems that Islanders are facing and are worried about. I could not sit back and watch, I wanted to offer myself as part of the solution,” says Dahn.
The Island New Democrats now have 18 candidates nominated, with more to come in the coming days.

- Next $450 contributed - 50%
- Next $600 contributed - 33 1/3%
