Michelle Neill, the Atlantic Director for Persons with Disabilities for the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) has been acclaimed the New Democrat candidate for Malpeque in the 2021 federal election.
Ms. Neil is a UPEI graduate (2009), earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) while raising two young children and working full-time with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Through her involvement with the PSAC over the last 25 years, Ms. Neill has been lobbying provincial and federal governments on important issues for Island and Canadian families, most recently for affordable childcare, as well as national pharmacare and dental care programs. Michelle has also represented her co-workers on national bargaining teams in Ottawa for the PSAC to improve workplace conditions.
Michelle Neill is a deeply committed volunteer in her community. She has worked tirelessly with Wings on Ice Skating Club, the Charlottetown Figure Skating Club, Skate PEI, Hockey PEI, and she has taken a leadership role in several other organizations, including PSAC Local 90002–Charlottetown Union of Taxation Employees (UTE), the North Star Minor Hockey Association, and most recently, MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving)-Central PEI.

Michelle Neill resides in Oyster Bed Bridge with her husband Robbie, and they are the proud parents of their adult children, Keila Blackett and Taylor Neill.
