ANOTHER NOMINATION

District 23 Nomination Meeting January 28th

Island New Democrats in District 23 (Tyne Valley – Sherbrooke) are about to nominate their candidate for the coming provincial election, and they are excited that a strong contender is putting his name forward.  Robin Enman of Lot 16 is seeking the nomination.

Robin Enman has been the Recreational Director with the Lennox Island First Nation and Athletic Director for John J. Sark Memorial Elementary for the past 20 years.  An active volunteer and respected leader in the sporting community, he has been involved with many successful national and international events — among others, the Island Games in Rhodes Greece, the North American Indigenous Games, and the Canada Winter Games.  In recent years he has been head coach for JUDO-PEI and will be team manager for the 2019 Canada Winter Games.

From his experience in multiple sports, Robin Enman has strengths in goal-setting and engaging others.  “Working with athletes, coaches and parents to identify opportunities and pathways for success, and then seeing things through,” he says “have honed skills which are needed to represent our district”.

Robin Enman looks forward to working with NDP Leader Joe Byrne to promote the interests and concerns of the many, not just the few.  “I don’t see issues as problems,” he says, “but more as challenges — opportunities to advance the standard of living and quality of life for our region and for all Islanders.”

Robin lives with his wife Andrea and their two daughters Loren and Lydia along the North Shore on route #12 between Carr’s Corner and Belmont Corner.

The District 23 Island New Democrat nomination meeting is on Monday, January 28 at the Miscouche Legion.  Registration is at 6:30 pm with the meeting starting at 7:00 pm.  The party’s Leader Joe Byrne will be guest speaker.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
