After serving as interim Leader for 18 months, James Rodd, an organic farmer from North Milton, was elected Leader of the Island New Democrats at the party's annual convention in April of 2009.

Rodd brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to role of Leader of the Island New Democrats. He's been active in the party for many years, most recently as candidate in the district of York-Oyster Bed in the 2007 Prince Edward Island general election. He's also a former President of the Island New Democrats.
